Hello! My name is Mrs. Auger. I live in Northbridge, Massachusetts with my husband, Matt. I have two children, Matthew Jr. and Anna Bridget.
I have 2 younger brothers and my husband has 4 older brothers. My extended family live in the Massachusetts and New York, while most of my husband's family is in Georgia. We like to visit with them as often as we can. I also enjoy reading, going to the beach, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.
I graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Communications with a minor in International Affairs. I wanted to produce educational television and found a place interning and later working for the Boston PBS channel WGBH. My longest internship was at American Experience, a history documentary series. After working for a few years at WGBH Audience and Member Services, I went back to school to fulfill my dream of becoming a teacher. I completed a graduate program at the University of Massachusetts Boston and received my Masters Degree in Education.
I have been teaching in Douglas since 2005, serving 6 months as a paraprofessional. I enjoy being a part of the Douglas community. I started by teaching grade 4, and later 3rd and 5th grade. The majority of my time has been teaching Grade 6 World Geography. I love teaching Geography so much, I earned my Middle School Social Studies certification in 2017.
I believe in being a life-long learner so I am always looking for new and innovative ways to teach. Most of all, I enjoy spending my days with my students! They teach me as much as I teach them and it is NEVER a boring day at school!
